Dr Walden Pollina Story

Dr. Laura Walden enjoys helping teen patients develop healthy smiles while learning how to care for their oral health independently. Adolescence is a time when young people begin taking responsibility for their daily habits, and Dr. Walden enjoys guiding her patients through that important stage.

She received her Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1996. Dr. Walden joined Dentistry for Children in 2013 and provides dental care for teen patients at the Gladstone office.

Working with adolescents allows Dr. Walden to build meaningful connections with her patients. She enjoys getting to know their interests and supporting them as they develop healthy habits that will protect their smiles into adulthood.

As Dr. Walden explains:

“They are at a great age where they are on the cusp of discovering who they are, and we get to be a part of it.”

Dr. Walden is passionate about helping teens and families understand important oral health topics. She has shared her expertise through local media appearances, helping educate the community about issues affecting adolescent dental health.

She was featured on KMBC television discussing teen vaping and the potential effects it can have on oral health. Through interviews like this, Dr. Walden helps families stay informed about habits that may impact their child’s dental health.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Walden enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have four children, including two daughters and two sons. She enjoys attending her children’s sporting events such as track, volleyball, tennis, and football. In her free time, Dr. Walden also enjoys trying new restaurants and exploring new destinations with her family.

Dr. Walden’s favorite quote is:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”
